Am I required to have a meal plan?
First year students in Albany, and all students in Troy are required to have a full meal plan.
Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors living in Albany are required to have at least a commuter plan.
Are there meal plan options for Commuters?
Yes! While commuters can choose from any meal plan or our 205 DCB plan.
What is the difference between Flex dollars and Declining Dollars?
Flex Dollars otherwise known as Bonus Dollars are attached to your resident meal plan. They can spent like cash at any of these Dining at Russell Sage College locations:
McKinstry Dining Hall (Troy)
Buchman Grill (Troy)
EAT Cafe at Kahl Campus Center (Albany)
Declining Dollars are tax-free campus dollars that are bought on your own at any time. They can be used for campus needs such as the bookstore and parking permits.
Do you accommodate food allergies?
Yes! Simple Servings, our award-winning and newly refreshed resident dining option in McKinstry Dining Room provides safe and appetizing food choices for those with food allergies, gluten intolerance, and those who prefer simple foods.
